PhotoDerm®PL is a non-invasive medical system that uses light therapy to eliminate age spots, sun spots, freckles, birthmarks, and other unsightly discolorations of the skin. PhotoDerm®PL safely eliminates these spots without surgery, dermabrasion, or other painful procedures. PhotoDerm®PL is based on the same advanced technology as PhotoDerm®VL, which successfully treats leg veins, spider veins, port wine stains, and other vascular lesions.

PhotoDerm®PL generates intense pulsed light which safely reduces melanin, the dark pigmentation in the skin, so that pigmented lesions fade and slowly disappear. Treatment is applied by placing a hand-held treatment unit on the skin. Treatments range from one to three sessions of 15-20 minutes each.
