Hirsutism, although not life threatening, can have a psychological impact on men and women of any age. In the past, treatments have included shaving, waxing, electrolysis, depilatory creams, and tweezing. At the Center, treatments are done with state-of the art Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). The light travels through the skin, affecting the hair bulb. After several treatments, the hair will fall out. Although some regrowth may be noted, it will be significantly less than when started.

Epilight™ Hair Removal System is a non-invasive light therapy device specifically designed to eliminate undesired hair from all parts of the body, including the face, back, legs, bikini line or just about anywhere. Different areas such as eyebrows, ears, nose and foreheads can be treated. Dark skin individuals can also be treated using technology developed in our center.
