UNIROYAL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION Announces Appointment
Of Dr. Jeffrey S. Nelson To Lead Research At Optoelectronics
Division
Uniroyal
Technology Corporation today announced the appointment
of Dr. Jeffrey S. Nelson as Vice President and Chief
Technology Officer of its Uniroyal Optoelectronics
division effective May 1, 2000. Dr. Nelson will report
to Robert L. Soran, President and Chief Operating

of California at Davis, Dr. Nelson joined the Sandia
National Laboratories in California as a post doctoral
researcher where he studied the electronic and vibrational
properties of semiconductor and metal surfaces. He continued
his work on the electronic structure of semiconductor
heterostructures after transferring to the Semiconductor
Physics Department at Sandia in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In 1995, Dr. Nelson was promoted to Manager of the Semiconductor
Materials and Device Sciences Department where he developed
research and development efforts in wide bandgap and
infrared compound semiconductors. Dr. Nelson is currently
