Test Engineer (Optics)

Functions:

  • Operates, monitors and maintains manufacturing test equipment for compound semiconductor LED device fabrication
  • Responsible for ensuring process runs correctly, technicians assigned to area are trained properly, and maintains equipment
  • Establishes technology road map for test methods and techniques
  • Participates in failure analysis efforts with EPI and FAB engineers
  • Develops testing and screening procedures for optoelectronic products
Knowledge/skills desired:
  • BS/MS in Electrical engineering, Optics engineering or related field
  • Must have optics experience
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes
  • Semiconductor device testing experience; III-V experience a plus
  • Experience with design, implementation and use of automated test and data acquisition systems
  • Experience with test and measurement of optoelectronic or active electronic devices
