Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Troubleshoot and repair state-of-the-art semiconductor equipment. Includes the following subsystems: robotic controls, RF generators, lasers of several classes, optics, high vacuum systems, toxic/corrosive gas and chemical control systems. Develop and perform preventative maintenance procedures. Installation and modifications of semiconductor equipment. Interface with engineering, operations technicians, vendors, and facility personnel to solve equipment and process related problems. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and wear SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus). Travel requirement is less than 10%.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in a semiconductor manufacturing facility required. AS degree preferred.
  • Must have good electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of high vacuum systems required.
  • Karl Suss experience highly desired.
  • Good computer skills (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, and Internet) necessary.
  • ust be a self-motivated person able to do multiple tasks with little directions.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Must also be a team player.
